PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)

Both platforms utilize identical resolution logic, data sources, and handling of edge cases like postponements and cancellations.Primary resolution logic: Official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers.

Core resolution logic:

  • The team scoring more goals in the second half (including stoppage time) wins.
  • If both teams score the same number of goals in the second half, the market resolves to 'Draw'.
  • First-half goals, extra time, and penalty shoot-outs are excluded.

Edge cases & clarifications:

  • Postponement: The market remains open until the game is completed.
  • Cancellation: If the game is canceled entirely with no make-up game, the market resolves to 'Draw'.
  • Data Availability: If official statistics are unavailable within 2 hours, Flashscore is used. If Flashscore is unavailable, Sofascore is used. If neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting is used. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours, the market resolves 50-50 or to 'Draw' where applicable.
Timing: Resolution will occur after the completion of the second half (including stoppage time) and within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, or when acceptable data becomes available. Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds, like those found on Polymarket and Predict, often reflect a more diverse range of information than traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks primarily rely on statistical models and expert analysis, while prediction markets aggregate the insights of many individual traders. This can lead to differences in probabilities, as prediction markets are sensitive to news, sentiment, and even subtle factors that sportsbooks might overlook. While sportsbooks set odds to maximize profit, prediction markets aim for accurate probabilities, potentially offering a more 'true' reflection of the likely outcome for the Dortmund vs. Bremen second half.
