These markets track specific combinations of outcomes from both the first half and the full game of a football match between Buffalo and Las Vegas. Each market requires a particular result in the first half to occur alongside a corresponding result in the full game for it to settle as a win.
Each market resolves based on the combined outcome of the first half and the full game of the Buffalo vs Las Vegas Pro Football game scheduled for October 18, 2026. For a market to resolve to 'Yes,' both the specified first-half result and the specified full-game result must occur exactly as stated. If either the first-half or full-game result does not match the market's conditions, the market resolves to 'No.' Postponements that commence within 48 hours of the original start time allow the market to remain open and resolve based on the final official result. If the game does not start within 48 hours of the scheduled time, the market resolves to a fair price. All outcomes, including overtime, are considered in determining the results.
Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of participants, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and risk management, while this market aggregates the views of many individual bettors. This can lead to discrepancies, particularly when public sentiment strongly diverges from the sportsbook’s initial assessment. It's common to see prediction markets move faster to incorporate new information or react to unexpected developments than traditional sportsbooks, as they are driven by a more fluid and responsive trading process.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing different outcomes. The price of each contract reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and place orders, the prices adjust to reflect the evolving consensus. The market’s depth—the number of buy and sell orders at various price points—indicates the level of agreement among traders. This dynamic pricing mechanism allows for a real-time assessment of probabilities based on collective intelligence.
This market resolves around Oct 18, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The result will be determined by the official result of the Buffalo vs Las Vegas game, specifically the 1st Half / Fulltime Result as determined by official game statistics. The platform will verify the outcome against widely available and trusted sources to ensure accuracy and transparency. Traders holding contracts corresponding to the correct outcome will be paid out according to the final market price at resolution.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before it resolves. Any news regarding injuries to key players on either the Buffalo or Las Vegas team would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they are expected to impact the game, could also shift probabilities. Unexpected announcements about coaching strategies or team dynamics could also play a role. Finally, large volume trades on Kalshi itself, driven by informed traders or new information, can quickly alter the market’s pricing.
