Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, while this market allows anyone to trade on their beliefs, potentially leading to more accurate probabilities as new information emerges. If sportsbook odds heavily favor one outcome, but this market shows a more distributed probability, it could indicate disagreement or a different interpretation of the available data. It’s important to compare both to form a well-rounded view.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing different exact scores, and the price of each share reflects the market's collective belief about the probability of that score occurring. As more traders participate, the prices adjust to reflect the latest information and sentiment. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price movements are driven by supply and demand; if many traders believe a particular score is likely, they will buy shares, driving up its price and, consequently, its implied probability.
This market resolves around Oct 11, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting.
