On Polymarket and Kalshi, prices can vary due to differences in user bases, liquidity, and trading mechanics. Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. For instance, one platform might see heavier betting from local fans, skewing its odds, while the other could reflect a more global, balanced audience. These dynamics often lead to distinct implied probabilities even when tracking the same underlying game outcome.
