Frequently asked questions

Often, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, ensuring a profit margin, while this market allows traders to directly express their beliefs about the probability of each outcome. If prediction market odds significantly diverge from sportsbook lines, it may indicate disagreement about the true likelihood of a particular result, or differing levels of information available to each group. Examining these differences can be a valuable exercise for informed decision-making.
