The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Typically, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, reflecting their profit margin, while this market aims to represent the true probability as assessed by traders. It's common to see prediction market odds that are more efficient, meaning they more accurately reflect the likelihood of an outcome, though discrepancies can occur due to differing information or market participants. Comparing the two can be a useful exercise for informed betting.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing different first-half exact scores, and the price of each share reflects the market’s assessment of that score’s probability. As more shares are traded, the price adjusts to find an equilibrium point. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price movement is driven by supply and demand; if many traders believe a particular score is likely, they will buy shares, driving up the price, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing allows the market to quickly incorporate new information.
This market resolves around Oct 18, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final score at the end of the first half of the Brighton & Hove Albion FC vs. Crystal Palace FC match will determine the winning share. The resolution will be based on the official result as reported by a trusted sports data provider, ensuring a transparent and verifiable outcome for all participants in this market.
Several factors could influence the price of shares in this market. Late-breaking news regarding player injuries or suspensions for either Brighton or Palace could significantly shift expectations. Changes in weather conditions, such as heavy rain or strong winds, might also impact the likely scoreline. Even pre-match analysis from respected football commentators or unexpected lineup announcements could cause traders to reassess their positions, leading to price fluctuations in this market. Any information that alters perceptions of the teams’ relative strengths will likely have an effect.
