In the upcoming match between Brighton & Hove Albion FC and Brentford FC, scheduled for November 8, 2026 at 9:00 AM ET: This market will resolve to "Brighton & Hove Albion FC" if Brighton & Hove Albion FC are the first to score in the second half (second half of regular play plus second-half stoppage time). This market will resolve to "Brentford FC" if Brentford FC are the first to score in the second half (second half of regular play plus second-half stoppage time). If neither team scores in the second half (second half of regular play plus second-half stoppage time), this market will resolve to "Neither". If the game is postponed, this market will remain open until the game has been completed. If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, this market will resolve to "Neither". This market refers only to goals scored within the second half of regular play plus second-half stoppage time. First-half goals, extra time, and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor names, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences in a team's or player's name will not affect resolution, provided the intended team or player can be clearly and uniquely identified as a participant in the listed fixture or competition. If a listed name has no reasonable connection to any participant, or could reasonably refer to more than one participant such that the intended team or player cannot be determined, this market will resolve as it would if the listed fixture had been canceled entirely; a listed participant who cannot be identified does not count as inactive or absent. The primary resolution source for this market will be official match information from Premier League (https://www.premierleague.com/). If the governing body or event organizers have not published final statistics within 2 hours of the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and to balance action, while this market is driven by traders directly expressing their beliefs about the likelihood of each outcome. If a significant discrepancy exists, arbitrage opportunities may arise, where traders can profit by betting on both venues. However, it's important to note that prediction markets often incorporate information and perspectives not fully captured by sportsbooks, potentially leading to more accurate forecasts.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each outcome – either Brighton or Brentford scoring first in the second half. As more shares are purchased for a particular outcome, its price increases, reflecting a higher implied probability. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current price of shares indicates the market’s collective assessment of each team’s chances, and this fluctuates based on new information and trading activity. The top outcome currently has a chance percentage of 47.5%.
This market resolves around Nov 8, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be determined by which team scores the first goal in the second half of the Brighton & Hove Albion FC vs. Brentford FC match. The official match records will serve as the basis for verifying the outcome. Any goals scored during extra time or penalty shootouts will not be considered for the purpose of this market.
Several factors could influence trading activity and shift the odds in this market. Late-breaking news regarding player injuries or suspensions for either Brighton or Brentford would likely have a significant impact. Changes in team form, tactical adjustments, or even weather conditions could also sway market sentiment. Furthermore, any pre-match analysis or expert predictions gaining traction could prompt traders to adjust their positions, leading to price movements. Unexpected starting lineups announced close to kickoff could also create volatility in this market.
