In the upcoming Premier League game between Brighton & Hove Albion FC and Brentford FC, scheduled for November 8, 2026 at 9:00 AM ET: This market will resolve based on the halftime score of the Brighton & Hove Albion FC vs. Brentford FC match originally scheduled for November 8, 2026 at 9:00 AM ET, considering only goals scored within the first 45 minutes of regular play plus first-half stoppage time; second-half goals, extra time, and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual halftime score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor names, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences in a team's or player's name will not affect resolution, provided the intended team or player can be clearly and uniquely identified as a participant in the listed fixture or competition. If a listed name has no reasonable connection to any participant, or could reasonably refer to more than one participant such that the intended team or player cannot be determined, this market will resolve as it would if the listed fixture had been canceled entirely; a listed participant who cannot be identified does not count as inactive or absent. The primary resolution source for this market will be official match information from Premier League (https://www.premierleague.com/). If the governing body or event organizers have not published final statistics within 2 hours of the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Generally, prediction market odds tend to reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often proving more accurate than traditional sportsbook odds, especially in the lead-up to an event. Sportsbooks incorporate a margin for profit, which can distort the true probabilities. This market, however, allows traders to directly express their beliefs, leading to potentially more efficient price discovery. While sportsbooks may initially set odds based on expert analysis, the collective intelligence of traders on Polymarket can quickly adjust those probabilities based on new information and diverse perspectives. It’s a dynamic comparison, and discrepancies can arise.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing different first-half exact scores, and the price of each share reflects the market’s assessment of its probability. As more shares are traded, the price adjusts to find an equilibrium. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price movement is driven by supply and demand – if many traders believe a particular score is likely, they will buy shares, driving up the price, and vice versa. This creates a dynamic and responsive market for predicting the outcome of the first half.
This market resolves around Nov 8, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official first-half exact score as reported by the governing football authorities. The platform will then determine the winning shares and distribute payouts accordingly. Traders should monitor official sources for the final result, as this will be the basis for settlement. This ensures a transparent and verifiable outcome for all participants in this market.
Several factors could influence trading activity and move this market. Late team news, such as key player injuries or unexpected starting lineups for either Brighton or Brentford, would likely have a significant impact. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they favor one team’s playing style, could also shift the odds. Furthermore, any pre-match analysis or expert opinions suggesting a tactical shift or a change in expected performance could influence trader behavior. Even general football news and public sentiment surrounding the teams could contribute to price fluctuations in this market.
