Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set initial lines based on their own analysis, while this market allows anyone to trade on their beliefs. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook’s odds are inaccurate, they can take positions that drive the prediction market price in a different direction. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially before an event gains widespread attention, as the market incorporates information and adjusts expectations.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous trading mechanism where participants buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of these shares directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy shares in a particular outcome, its price increases, indicating a growing consensus. Conversely, selling pressure drives prices down. This dynamic process creates a real-time assessment of probabilities based on the collective intelligence of the market participants.

This market resolves around Oct 20, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Brichacek vs. Rucky match, as reported by recognized sports authorities.
