Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from initial sportsbook offerings. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and ensure profit, while this market allows traders to express their own informed opinions. If a significant amount of money is wagered on a particular outcome in this market, the odds will shift accordingly, potentially moving closer to or further away from sportsbook lines. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, analytical approaches, or simply varying levels of confidence among bettors and market participants.
