The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from initial sportsbook lines. Sportsbooks set odds based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, incorporating a profit margin. This market, however, is driven by individuals willing to put their capital behind their beliefs. As more people trade, the odds tend to become more accurate, potentially exceeding the predictive power of traditional sportsbooks. It's common to see discrepancies, especially before significant events or when public sentiment strongly favors a particular outcome.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing different exact scores, and the price of each share reflects the probability of that score occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price fluctuates based on supply and demand; if many traders believe a particular score is likely, the price of shares representing that score will increase. Conversely, if traders think a score is unlikely, the price will fall. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market odds constantly adapt to new information and collective intelligence.
This market resolves around Oct 31, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final, official result of the Brentford FC versus Nottingham Forest FC match – the exact score – will determine the winning shares. The resolution will be based on the score reported by official sources and widely accepted as accurate. It's important to note that any potential delays in official reporting may affect the resolution timeline, but the outcome will always be based on the verified final score.
Several factors could significantly influence this market. Late-breaking news regarding player injuries or suspensions for either Brentford FC or Nottingham Forest FC would likely cause shifts in the odds. Changes in team form, tactical adjustments announced by the managers, or even weather conditions on match day could also impact trading activity. Unexpected news related to team morale or internal conflicts could also move the market. Any information that alters the perceived probability of different exact scores will be reflected in the price of shares on Polymarket.
