In the upcoming Premier League game between Brentford FC and Liverpool FC, scheduled for October 17, 2026 at 10:00 AM ET: This market will resolve based on the halftime score of the Brentford FC vs. Liverpool FC match originally scheduled for October 17, 2026 at 10:00 AM ET, considering only goals scored within the first 45 minutes of regular play plus first-half stoppage time; second-half goals, extra time, and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, but may also incorporate a margin for profit. This market, however, is driven by traders who are incentivized to accurately predict the outcome. If a significant discrepancy exists between prediction market probabilities and sportsbook odds, it might suggest that the market perceives information differently than sportsbooks, or that one venue has incorporated more information into its pricing. It's important to analyze both to form a well-rounded perspective.
This market resolves around Oct 17, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official, final score of the first half of the Brentford FC versus Liverpool FC match. The outcome will be determined by the official match data as reported by a trusted sports data provider. Traders will be able to see the confirmed result on Polymarket following the conclusion of the first half, and payouts will be processed accordingly based on the final score.
Several factors could influence trading activity in this market before resolution. Any news regarding team lineups, key player injuries, or changes in coaching strategies for either Brentford FC or Liverpool FC could shift probabilities. Unexpected weather conditions on match day might also play a role, potentially impacting the style of play and scoring opportunities. Furthermore, general sentiment and public perception, as reflected in news articles and social media, can influence trader behavior and cause the market to react to perceived advantages or disadvantages for either team. These factors all contribute to the dynamic pricing of this market.
