Generally, prediction market odds often reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd effect, potentially differing from those set by sportsbooks. Sportsbooks establish lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, incorporating a profit margin. This market, however, is driven by the collective predictions of traders who may have access to different information or perspectives. It's common to see discrepancies, especially when significant new information emerges or public sentiment shifts. While sportsbooks are influenced by professional analysis, prediction markets can be more responsive to real-time changes in perceived probabilities.
