Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of forecasters, potentially differing from those set by sportsbooks. Sportsbooks establish lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market relies on individuals willing to put their capital behind their beliefs. If sportsbook odds significantly diverge from those found here, it could indicate disagreement about the likely outcome or differing interpretations of available information. It's important to remember that both represent probabilities, but are derived through different mechanisms.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders buy shares in a particular outcome, its price increases, reflecting growing confidence. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current price reflects the aggregated sentiment of all participants trading on Polymarket and can fluctuate rapidly based on new information or shifts in opinion. The market's price is determined entirely by supply and demand.

Any news regarding player injuries, changes in playing conditions, or even significant shifts in public perception could cause traders to reassess their probabilities.
