This market centers on the outcome of a professional cricket match between two teams, determining which team secures a victory. The result hinges solely on the official match conclusion, with specific conditions addressing scenarios where a definitive winner isn't declared.
The event resolves based on the official outcome of the Brampton Wolves vs Mississauga Skyhawks men's professional NCL GT20 Canada cricket match scheduled for October 31, 2026. If either team is declared the official winner by the governing body, the corresponding market will resolve accordingly. Should the match end in a tie, draw, no result, abandonment, cancellation, or insufficient play to determine a winner, all markets resolve to $0.50. In cases of forfeit, disqualification, or concession, if the match hasn't started, all markets resolve to $0.50; if the match has started and the governing body declares a winner, the market resolves based on that result. Kalshi is not affiliated with the governing league, and all trademarks remain property of their respective owners.
Prediction market odds often differ from those offered by sportsbooks, reflecting the wisdom of the crowd versus the assessments of professional oddsmakers. Sportsbooks set initial lines to balance their risk, while this market allows anyone to trade on their beliefs. If a large number of traders believe a sportsbook is undervaluing a particular outcome, they can buy 'yes' contracts, driving up the price and reflecting that collective opinion. This dynamic can lead to prediction markets being more accurate than traditional odds, especially as the event approaches and more information becomes available.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book, where traders buy and sell contracts representing different outcomes. The price of each contract reflects the market’s current expectation of that outcome’s probability. As more traders participate, the prices adjust to incorporate new information and perspectives. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price movements are driven entirely by supply and demand, meaning the market is self-regulating and responds directly to trader sentiment regarding the Wolves-Skyhawks game.
This market resolves around Nov 1, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Brampton Wolves versus Mississauga Skyhawks game, as reported by a trusted sports news source. Traders holding contracts on the winning outcome will receive a payout of 100 cents per contract, while those holding contracts on the losing outcome will receive nothing. The precise timing of resolution may depend on the speed of official results being released.
Several factors could influence trading activity in this market. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in team lineups, or coaching decisions would likely cause price fluctuations. Unexpected weather conditions, particularly if they significantly impact gameplay, could also move the market. Furthermore, major shifts in public perception, perhaps driven by expert analysis or media coverage, could influence trader sentiment and lead to changes in contract prices. Monitoring these signals can provide insights into how the market is reacting to new information about the Wolves-Skyhawks game.
