On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the probability of each outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and express their views, the prices adjust, reflecting the collective wisdom of the crowd. The market’s price is determined solely by supply and demand for these shares, and is not influenced by any external factors or opinions.
This market is scheduled to resolve around Oct 18, 2026. The outcome will be determined by the official results of the Czech presidential election, verified against credible public reporting. Traders are making predictions about the winner of the election, and this market will settle based on which candidate is officially declared the victor by the appropriate electoral authorities.
Several factors could significantly impact this market before Oct 18, 2026. Major events like televised debates, significant policy announcements from the candidates, or unexpected endorsements could all shift trader sentiment. Polling data releases, while already reflected in some degree, can still cause price adjustments if they deviate substantially from current expectations. Any unforeseen controversies or scandals involving either candidate could also lead to substantial movement in the market. Finally, changes in the broader political landscape or economic conditions within the Czech Republic could influence trading activity.
