Typically, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, representing their profit margin. This market, driven by the collective wisdom of traders, aims to reflect the true probability of an outcome. While sportsbooks may initially set lines based on power rankings and expert analysis, this market evolves as new information and opinions are factored in by participants. It’s common to see discrepancies between the two, with prediction markets sometimes providing more accurate forecasts, especially closer to the event.

On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell contracts representing different outcomes. The price of each contract reflects the market’s collective belief about the probability of that outcome occurring. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and express their views, the prices adjust accordingly, converging towards what the market deems to be a fair assessment. The forces of supply and demand directly influence the odds, creating a dynamic and responsive pricing system. This differs from fixed-odds betting, as the odds are not predetermined but rather determined by the traders themselves.

This market resolves around Oct 3, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting.
