This market focuses on determining which team will score more points in a specific quarter of an upcoming college football game between Boise State and Washington State. It provides a way to speculate on short-term performance during the game. The outcome depends solely on the scoring during that particular quarter, not the overall game result.
The market resolves based on which team scores more points in the third quarter of the Boise State versus Washington State college football game scheduled for October 24, 2026. If Washington State scores more points in that quarter, the market resolves to Yes for Washington State and No for all other outcomes. If Boise State scores more points in that quarter, the market resolves to Yes for Boise State and No for all other outcomes. If both teams score the same number of points in the third quarter, the market resolves to Yes for the Tie outcome and No for all others. For postponements, if the game starts within 48 hours of its original time, the market remains open and resolves based on the actual third-quarter scoring. If the game does not start within 48 hours, the market resolves to a fair price. Only points scored during the third quarter count toward resolution, and Kalshi disclaims any affiliation with the NCAA.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and need to account for a profit margin, while this market is driven purely by traders expressing their beliefs. If a significant discrepancy emerges between this market and sportsbook lines, it could indicate that the crowd perceives information differently than the bookmakers, or that one venue has more informed traders. It’s common to see convergence as the event approaches, but differences can persist.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous double auction. Traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about which team will win the 3rd quarter. The price of each contract reflects the probability of that outcome, as perceived by the market participants. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the prices adjust to reflect the collective intelligence of the crowd. The market depth shows the available contracts at different price points, indicating the strength of buy and sell interest.
This market resolves around Oct 25, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The team leading at the end of the 3rd quarter of the Boise State vs. Washington State game will be declared the winner of this market. The official game results will be used to determine the winning outcome, ensuring a transparent and verifiable resolution process. Traders should monitor official sources for the final score to understand when the market will be settled.
Several factors could influence this market before resolution. Any news regarding key player injuries, changes in coaching strategy, or even weather conditions could shift trader sentiment. Unexpected performance in the first half of the game will likely have a significant impact, as will live in-game statistics. Major upsets in other games involving these teams’ conference rivals could also indirectly affect trading activity. Monitoring these signals will be crucial for anyone looking to capitalize on market movements.
