These markets track the total points scored by both teams during the second quarter of an upcoming college football game. Each market has a different threshold for the total points needed to resolve as 'Yes'.
All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams specifically during the second quarter of the Boise St. vs Washington St. college football game scheduled for October 24, 2026. Each market has a unique threshold, ranging from more than 2.5 points to more than 27.5 points. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the markets remain open and resolve according to the official result. If the game does not start within 48 hours of the scheduled time, all markets resolve to a fair price. Only points scored in the second quarter count toward each market's resolution.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from initial sportsbook lines. Sportsbooks set their odds based on statistical models and expert analysis, aiming to attract balanced betting action. This market, however, allows anyone to trade contracts, so the price adjusts based on the collective predictions of all participants. Often, as an event approaches, prediction market prices become more accurate than traditional odds, incorporating a wider range of information and perspectives. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially early on, as the market discovers new information.
On Kalshi, this market is priced using a continuous double auction. Traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about whether the 2nd quarter total will be over or under 12.5 points. The price of a contract represents the probability of that outcome occurring. If you buy a “yes” contract, you profit if the total points scored exceed 12.5. Conversely, a “no” contract pays out if the total remains at or below 12.5. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price fluctuates based on supply and demand, driven by traders’ individual assessments of the game and potential scoring scenarios.
This market resolves around Oct 25, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final score of the 2nd quarter of the Boise State vs. Washington State football game will be used to determine whether the total points scored exceed 12.5. If the total is above 12.5, contracts predicting “over” will pay out $1. If the total is 12.5 or below, contracts predicting “under” will pay out $1. All trading will cease upon resolution, and payouts will be processed accordingly.
Several factors could influence the price of this market. News regarding key player injuries for either Boise State or Washington State would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if they suggest conditions favorable for high or low scoring, could also impact trading activity. Unexpected announcements about coaching strategies or team dynamics could also shift market sentiment. Finally, any significant shifts in public perception, as reflected in polls or expert analyses, could influence traders’ decisions and move the price of contracts in this market.
