In the upcoming Premier Division (Ireland) game between Bohemians Dublin FC and Waterford FC, scheduled for October 16, 2026 at 2:45 PM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the Bohemians Dublin FC vs. Waterford FC match originally scheduled for October 16, 2026 at 2:45 PM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Often, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks typically incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, aiming to profit regardless of the outcome. This market, driven by the collective wisdom of traders, can sometimes offer more competitive odds, especially when there’s strong disagreement with the sportsbook’s initial assessment. However, it’s important to remember that both represent probabilities as perceived by different groups – one by professional oddsmakers and the other by a crowd of individual bettors.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing different exact scores, and the price of each share reflects the market’s probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders participate, the prices adjust to reflect the collective belief. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price movement is driven by supply and demand; if many traders believe a particular score is likely, they will buy shares, driving up the price, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing ensures the market reflects the most up-to-date information and predictions.
This market resolves around Oct 16, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final, official result of the Bohemians vs. Waterford match—the exact score—will be used to determine which shares pay out. Resolution will occur after the match concludes and the score is officially recorded by the relevant sporting authorities. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings based on the final result.
Several factors could influence trading activity in this market. Late-breaking news regarding player injuries or suspensions for either the Bohemians or Waterford could significantly shift expectations. Changes in weather conditions, such as heavy rain or strong winds, might also impact the perceived likelihood of different scores. Even team form and recent performance in other matches could sway traders’ opinions. Any significant news or developments related to the teams or the match itself has the potential to move this market before Oct 16, 2026.
