Typically, prediction market odds offer a distinct perspective compared to traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, which represents their profit margin. This market, driven by the collective intelligence of traders on Polymarket, aims to represent the true probabilities of each outcome, potentially offering more favorable odds for informed participants. However, sportsbook odds reflect the views of professional oddsmakers, and discrepancies can arise due to differing information or risk assessments. It's always wise to compare both to make informed decisions.
