The markets resolve based on the full-time result of the Birmingham vs Millwall EFL Championship soccer match scheduled for November 3, 2026, after 90 minutes plus stoppage time, excluding extra time or penalties. A 'Yes' outcome for the Birmingham market occurs if Birmingham wins the match in regulation time. Similarly, a 'Yes' for Millwall occurs if Millwall secures a victory within the same timeframe. If the match concludes with an equal score at the end of regulation time, the Tie market resolves to 'Yes.' Otherwise, it will resolve to "NO." If the match is postponed, this market will remain open until the match has been completed. If the match is not completed as scheduled for any reason (for example, if it is abandoned, canceled, or awarded), and an official final result is recognized by the governing body or event organizers, this market will resolve based on that result. If no official final result is recognized and no make-up match is scheduled, this market will resolve "NO." Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome.
Prediction market odds, like those displayed for this market, often differ from traditional sportsbook odds due to the differing incentives and information sources. Sportsbooks set odds to maximize profit, factoring in a margin for themselves, while prediction markets allow participants to directly express their beliefs about the probability of an event. This can lead to more accurate probabilities, as the market aggregates diverse perspectives. However, sportsbooks often have higher trading volume and may offer different types of wagers not available in prediction markets. It’s beneficial to consider both when assessing the likely outcome.
On Polymarket, the current price reflects the unique pool of traders and information available there, while Kalshi has its own distinct user base and data inputs. Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. This can result in differing probabilities for the same event. Factors like varying liquidity, differing risk appetites among traders, and even the specific framing of the question on each platform can contribute to these discrepancies. Currently, Polymarket currently favors Will Birmingham City FC win on 2026-11-03? at 48.5%, while Kalshi leans toward Birmingham wins at 49.0%.
This market resolves around Nov 4, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on official match data, including the final score, and any applicable tie-breaking rules. Several factors could influence the predictions in this market leading up to Nov 4, 2026. Key player injuries or suspensions for either Birmingham City or Millwall would likely cause significant shifts in the odds. Unexpected changes in team form, such as a surprising win or loss in a preceding match, could also impact trader sentiment. Even external factors like weather conditions on match day could play a role in how traders assess the probabilities.
