Frequently asked questions

Generally, prediction market odds often reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd effect, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks may initially set lines based on team rankings and expert analysis, while this market allows anyone to trade on their beliefs, incorporating a wider range of information. If sportsbook odds significantly diverge from those seen on Polymarket, it could indicate differing levels of confidence or access to unique insights. It's important to compare both to form a well-rounded perspective on the likely outcome of the match.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous trading mechanism where users buy and sell shares representing their belief in each outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders who believe SC Delhi will score first, the higher the price of shares representing that outcome will climb, and vice versa for Bengaluru FC. This dynamic pricing reflects the collective intelligence of the crowd.

This market resolves around Oct 10, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on which team scores the first goal in the Bengaluru FC vs. SC Delhi match. The official match records will serve as the basis for determining the winning outcome. Traders should monitor official sources for confirmation of the final result, as this will trigger the settlement of all outstanding shares in this market.

Several factors could influence this market before resolution. Any news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either Bengaluru FC or SC Delhi could significantly shift the odds. Changes in team form, recent match results, or even weather conditions on match day could also impact trader sentiment. Unexpected announcements about tactical changes or starting lineups might also lead to price movements. Monitoring these signals will be crucial for anyone looking to trade in this market before Oct 10, 2026.
