Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds often reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd effect, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own analysis and incorporate a profit margin, while this market is driven purely by traders' willingness to buy or sell based on their beliefs. If there's a significant discrepancy, it could indicate that the market believes the sportsbook has mispriced the event, or that new information hasn't yet been fully incorporated into sportsbook lines. It's common to see some variation, but large differences can present potential opportunities for informed traders.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders can buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of these shares directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and express their views, the price adjusts to find an equilibrium point, representing the collective prediction. The more shares purchased for a particular outcome, the higher its price will climb, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing ensures the market reflects the latest information and sentiment.

This market resolves around Oct 23, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Belibov vs. Demik match as declared by the governing sports authority. Any disputes or ambiguities will be resolved by referencing official match records and established rules. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings or adjust their positions based on the final, verified outcome of the match, as reported by authoritative sources.

Several signals could significantly impact this market. News regarding player injuries, changes in coaching strategies, or even weather conditions could all influence trader sentiment. Unexpected announcements about either Belibov or Demik’s preparation or physical condition would likely cause price fluctuations.
