Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set their odds based on models and internal analysis, while this market is driven by individuals willing to put their capital behind their beliefs. It's common to see discrepancies, especially when public sentiment strongly diverges from the sportsbook's initial assessment. Examining these differences can be valuable for informed decision-making, though it's important to remember that both sources have their own strengths and weaknesses.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of these shares directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate, the price adjusts to reflect the collective assessment. The market’s price is determined solely by supply and demand; if many traders believe a particular result is likely, they will bid up the price of shares representing that outcome, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing creates a real-time forecast of the event's potential results.

This market resolves around Oct 11, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the second half of the Beşiktaş JK vs. Kocaelispor match, as reported by a recognized sports data provider. The market will determine which outcome – Beşiktaş winning the second half, Kocaelispor winning the second half, or a draw – actually occurred during the game. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings based on the final, verified result.

Several factors could influence the price of this market before resolution. Any news regarding team injuries, changes in player lineups, or tactical adjustments announced by either Beşiktaş or Kocaelispor could significantly shift trader sentiment. Unexpected weather conditions on match day could also play a role. Furthermore, real-time updates during the first half of the match – such as early goals, red cards, or key saves – are likely to cause rapid price fluctuations as traders react to the unfolding events and adjust their predictions for the second half.
