Outcomes are based on the official game result, with specific guidelines for postponements and cancellations.
The event resolves based on the official result of the men’s professional China CBA basketball game between Beijing Royal Fighters and Guangzhou Loong Lions, scheduled for October 27, 2026, at 7:35 AM EDT. If Guangzhou Loong Lions win, their corresponding market resolves to Yes, and Beijing Royal Fighters’ market resolves to No. Conversely, if Beijing Royal Fighters win, their market resolves to Yes, and Guangzhou Loong Lions’ market resolves to No. Should the game be postponed but commence within 48 hours of the original start time, both markets remain open and resolve according to the final official result. If the game is cancelled or fails to start within 48 hours of the scheduled time, all markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi explicitly disclaims any affiliation with the governing league, and all trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from initial sportsbook offerings. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. As more information becomes available – such as team news or injury reports – and as the event draws closer, you may see the odds on Kalshi converge or diverge from those found at traditional sportsbooks. It’s common to see prediction markets more accurately reflect true probabilities than early sportsbook lines.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing different outcomes of the Chinese basketball game. The price of each contract fluctuates based on supply and demand, with higher prices indicating a greater perceived probability of that outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders are incentivized to provide accurate predictions, as profitable traders are rewarded and those who misjudge the outcome risk losing capital. This dynamic pricing mechanism aims to reflect the collective intelligence of the market participants.
This market resolves around Oct 27, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the official result of the Beijing Royal Fighters versus Guangzhou Loong Lions basketball game, as reported by official league sources. The winning team, as determined by the final score, will dictate the outcome of the market. Traders will be able to claim their winnings or settle their losing positions once the resolution is finalized on Kalshi.
Several factors could significantly influence this market. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in team lineups, or coaching strategies would likely cause price fluctuations. Unexpected performance in preceding games, or even significant media coverage impacting public perception, could also shift the odds. Major announcements related to the teams or the league itself could also move the market. Monitoring these signals and assessing their potential impact on the game's outcome is key to informed trading on Kalshi.
