Typically, prediction market odds reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd perspective, potentially differing from those set by sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a margin for profit and may be influenced by promotional considerations, whereas this market relies on the collective predictions of informed traders. It's common to see this market odds adjust rapidly to new information or shifts in public perception, potentially offering a different valuation than traditional betting outlets. Comparing these odds can be a useful exercise for anyone interested in the event.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as determined by supply and demand. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy shares in a particular outcome, its price increases, and vice versa. This creates a dynamic pricing system that adapts to new information and changing sentiment about the Lithuanian basketball matchup.
This market resolves around Nov 7, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting.
