These markets evaluate how many points will be scored in the final quarter of a college football game between Baylor and Arizona State. Each market has a different threshold for the total points scored by both teams combined during that specific period.
All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams in the 4th quarter (excluding overtime) of the Baylor vs Arizona State college football game scheduled for October 3, 2026. Each market has a specific numerical threshold; if the combined score exceeds that threshold, the market resolves to Yes, otherwise No. For all markets, only points scored during regulation 4th quarter play count—overtime points are excluded. If the game is postponed but commences within 48 hours of its original scheduled start time, markets remain open and resolve based on the final official result. If the game fails to start within 48 hours of its scheduled time, all markets resolve to a fair price, ensuring impartial treatment regardless of game cancellation or rescheduling.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market allows anyone to trade based on their own analysis. If a significant number of traders believe the sportsbook is mispricing the game, you may see a divergence in the odds. It’s common to find that prediction markets are more accurate than traditional forecasts, especially when considering the collective intelligence of participants.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts. The price of a contract represents the probability of a particular outcome – in this case, the total points scored in the 4th quarter falling within a specific range. As more people buy contracts predicting a certain outcome, the price increases, and vice versa. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This dynamic pricing mechanism allows the market to quickly incorporate new information and reflect the evolving expectations of traders.
This market resolves around Oct 4, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final score of the 4th quarter of the Baylor vs Arizona State game is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official game statistics as reported by a recognized sports data provider. The market will determine which contracts pay out based on whether the actual total points scored in the 4th quarter fall within the ranges defined by the available contracts.
Several factors could influence this market before the game concludes. Any news regarding key player injuries for either Baylor or Arizona State would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if they suggest a high-scoring or low-scoring game, could also impact trading activity. Furthermore, in-game events, such as early scoring drives or defensive stops, could lead to rapid shifts in the price of contracts as traders react to the unfolding action. Public sentiment and analysis from sports commentators may also play a role.
