Frequently asked questions

Often, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than those found at sportsbooks. Sportsbooks incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, ensuring profit regardless of the outcome. This market, driven by the collective wisdom of traders, aims to represent the true probability of the event occurring. While sportsbooks may initially set odds based on statistical models and expert opinions, this market can diverge as new information emerges and traders adjust their positions. Discrepancies can arise due to differing risk assessments and the influence of public perception.

On Limitless, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders can buy and sell contracts representing their belief about whether Bayern München and RB Leipzig will score 3 or more total goals. The price of a contract fluctuates based on supply and demand. As more traders believe the outcome is likely, the price increases, and vice versa. On Limitless, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This dynamic pricing mechanism allows the market to quickly incorporate new information and reflect the collective intelligence of the crowd. Trading volume and order book depth also influence price discovery.

This market resolves around Oct 18, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final goal count from the Bayern München versus RB Leipzig match will be used to determine whether three or more goals were scored. The official match statistics, as reported by a recognized sports data provider, will serve as the basis for the resolution. Traders who correctly predicted the outcome will be paid out according to the final market price at resolution. This process ensures a transparent and objective determination of the result.

Several factors could influence the price of this market before Oct 18, 2026. Any news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either Bayern München or RB Leipzig would likely have a significant impact. Changes in team form, tactical adjustments, or weather conditions could also shift trader sentiment. Unexpected announcements about starting lineups or pre-match team news could also cause volatility. Furthermore, general football news and analysis, as well as large trades within this market on Limitless, can all contribute to price movements.
