Generally, prediction markets like Polymarket often reflect a ‘wisdom of the crowd’ that can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and ensure profit, while this market represents what traders believe will actually happen. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply the dynamics of how each venue operates. If you find a significant difference between the implied probability on Polymarket and sportsbook odds, it could indicate an opportunity for value betting, depending on your own assessment of the game.
