Prediction market odds, like those found on Polymarket and Predict, often differ from traditional sportsbook odds due to the differing incentives and information sources. Sportsbooks primarily aim to balance risk and profit, setting odds based on implied probabilities and a margin for themselves. Prediction markets, however, rely on the wisdom of the crowd, where participants are incentivized to accurately forecast the outcome. This can lead to more efficient price discovery, as the market aggregates diverse perspectives and information. This market, specifically, may reflect different insights than those priced into traditional betting lines.
