Description

PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)

Both Polymarket and Predict define the same resolution criteria based on the first goal scored within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time, with the same fallback mechanisms for data sources and handling of postponements/cancellations.Primary resolution logic: Official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers, with fallback to Flashscore, Sofascore, or a consensus of credible reporting.

Core resolution logic:

  • The first team to score within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time determines the outcome.
  • If neither team scores within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time, the market resolves to 'Neither'.
  • Postponed matches will have their markets remain open until completion.
  • Cancelled matches (with no make-up game) will resolve to 'Neither'.

Edge cases & clarifications:

  • Data Availability: If official statistics are unavailable within 2 hours of the match's conclusion, Flashscore data will be used. If Flashscore is unavailable, Sofascore data will be used. If neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting will be used. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours, the market will resolve 50-50 (or to 'Draw' where applicable).
  • Score Revisions: Revisions to officially declared final scores made *after* market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome.
Timing: Resolution will occur as soon as the official final result is available, but no later than 24 hours after the event's conclusion, or when a consensus is reached based on fallback sources. Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds, like those found in this market, often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while prediction markets allow traders to freely express their beliefs. This can lead to discrepancies, especially when public sentiment strongly diverges from expert opinion. Generally, prediction markets tend to be more accurate than sportsbook odds, particularly when there's significant volume and diverse participation in this market.

Polymarket and Predict can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Differences in pricing between Polymarket and Predict for the Leverkusen vs. Marseille first-to-score market can arise from several factors. Each platform has its own user base with varying risk appetites and information sets, leading to differing interpretations of the likely outcome. Trading volume also plays a role; lower volume on one platform can result in greater price volatility and divergence. Furthermore, the specific mechanisms for price discovery – how traders place bets and adjust their positions – may differ slightly between Polymarket and Predict, contributing to the observed price discrepancies. These factors combine to create potentially different market assessments.
