If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from those set by sportsbooks. Sportsbooks establish lines to balance their risk, incorporating a profit margin, while this market is driven purely by traders’ beliefs about the likelihood of each outcome. If a significant number of traders believe an outcome is more probable than a sportsbook suggests, the odds on Polymarket will adjust accordingly. This can sometimes lead to more accurate predictions, as the market aggregates diverse perspectives and information.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing different exact scores, and the price of each share reflects the probability of that score occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price movements are determined by supply and demand; if more people buy shares in a particular outcome, the price increases, indicating a higher perceived probability. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market odds are constantly updated based on the latest information and collective intelligence.
This market resolves around Oct 27, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final score of the Barnet FC vs. York City FC match will be used to determine the winning outcome. The resolution will be based on the official result declared by the governing football authorities, ensuring a transparent and verifiable process. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings based on the final, confirmed score.
Several factors could influence the odds in this market. Any news regarding team injuries, suspensions, or changes in team form could significantly shift trader sentiment. Unexpected weather conditions on match day, or even pre-match tactical announcements from the managers, could also impact predictions. Furthermore, significant betting activity or large trades on Polymarket could cause noticeable price movements, reflecting a change in market confidence regarding a specific exact score outcome.
