Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines to balance action, while this market allows traders to openly buy and sell based on their own analysis. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook line is inaccurate, we may see the odds on Polymarket move in a different direction. It's common to find that prediction markets are more accurate than sportsbook odds, especially when considering long-term forecasting, though discrepancies can occur due to differing information and risk appetites.
