If the highest individual score is shared by at least one player from each team, the market will resolve to Draw. The market will resolve according to which team's player records the highest individual run total regardless of if the match is not competed (e.g. Due to weather conditions). DLS/DRS adjustments and any other on-field rulings affecting batting statistics are treated as ordinary data. On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in a particular outcome. The price of each share directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy shares in a specific player, the price increases, indicating a higher perceived chance of them being the top batter. Conversely, selling pressure drives the price down. This dynamic pricing ensures the market reflects the aggregated predictions of all participants.
This market resolves around Oct 16, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on which player scores the most runs across all matches in the Australia vs Bangladesh ODI series. In the event of a tie, the market will resolve in favor of the player who reached the score in fewer innings. The official match results will serve as the definitive source for determining the winning outcome of this market.
Several factors could influence trading activity in this market. Player form leading up to and during the series is a key driver; strong performances in prior matches will likely increase a player’s share price. Unexpected injuries or team selection changes could also significantly shift the odds. Weather conditions, particularly if they favor batting or bowling, could also play a role. Finally, any news regarding player fitness or strategic decisions made by the team management could impact how traders assess the probabilities and adjust their positions in this market.
