This market refers to the cricket match between Australia Women and Bangladesh Women scheduled for October 10 2026 at 11:50 PM ET in Bangladesh Women Tour of Australia ODIs. DLS/DRS, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the winner determined by that tiebreak will be used for resolution. If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions (e.g., group-stage ODI with no Super Over), the market will resolve 50-50. If the match is postponed/rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed. If the match is permanently canceled or abandoned or otherwise is completed without a winner, the market resolves 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

Generally, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, which represents their profit margin. This market, driven by the collective intelligence of traders on Polymarket, aims to reflect the true probability of an outcome. While sportsbooks may initially set odds based on expert analysis, prediction markets can quickly adjust to new information and changing sentiment, potentially offering more accurate probabilities as the event approaches. Discrepancies can arise due to differing opinions and information access.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of a particular outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more people buy shares in a specific outcome, its price increases, reflecting growing confidence. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price is determined entirely by supply and demand, with traders acting as both market makers and informed speculators. This dynamic pricing ensures the market reflects the collective wisdom of the crowd.
This market resolves around Oct 18, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the result of the Australia vs Bangladesh ODI series will be used to determine the winning share. The outcome will be based on the official series result as reported by recognized sports authorities. Traders will be able to claim their winnings once the result is verified and the market is settled on Polymarket. This ensures a transparent and reliable resolution process.
Several factors could influence this market before resolution. Any news regarding team injuries, changes in player form, or weather conditions affecting the matches could shift trader sentiment. Unexpected results in preceding matches or significant changes in team strategy could also lead to price fluctuations. Furthermore, major announcements from cricket analysts or influential commentators could impact the perceived probabilities, causing traders to adjust their positions. Monitoring these signals will be key to understanding potential movements in this market.
