This set of markets tracks how effectively each team disrupts the opposing offense's passing game by recording sacks during a specific football match. Sacks are counted when a quarterback is tackled behind the line of scrimmage before throwing the ball. The outcomes vary based on whether each team reaches certain sack thresholds.
All markets resolve based on the official number of sacks recorded by each team during the Baltimore vs Buffalo Pro Football game scheduled for Nov 1, 2026. Sacks recorded during 2-point conversion attempts are excluded from all counts. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of its original time, markets remain open and resolve according to the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours of the scheduled time, all markets resolve to a fair price. Each market has a specific threshold (ranging from 2+ to 6+ sacks) for each team; if the team's total meets or exceeds its respective threshold, that market resolves to Yes, otherwise No.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own analysis and to balance action, while this market aggregates the views of many individual traders. If a significant number of traders believe a particular outcome is more likely than sportsbooks suggest, the price will move accordingly. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially as new information emerges or public sentiment shifts. Comparing the two can offer a broader perspective on the potential outcome of the game and the likelihood of either team achieving 2+ sacks.
On Kalshi, this market is priced using a continuous double auction. Traders buy and sell contracts representing each possible outcome – in this case, whether Baltimore or Buffalo will record 2+ sacks. The price of each contract represents the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and place orders, the prices adjust to reflect the collective assessment of the likelihood of each team reaching the specified sack total. The market's price is driven entirely by supply and demand from traders on Kalshi.
This market resolves around Nov 1, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The official game statistics, specifically the number of sacks recorded by each team, will be used to determine the winning outcome. If Baltimore records 2 or more sacks, the 'Baltimore: 2+ sacks' outcome will win. Conversely, if Buffalo records 2 or more sacks, that outcome will be declared the winner. The resolution will be based on the official game data and verified through established sports reporting sources.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before it resolves. Any news regarding injuries to key defensive players on either team – particularly pass rushers – would likely have a significant impact. Changes in weather conditions, such as heavy rain or wind, could also affect the game and the likelihood of sacks. Unexpected coaching decisions or strategic adjustments could also shift the market. Finally, any late-breaking news or analysis regarding the offensive line matchups could move the price as traders react to new information and adjust their predictions about the potential for sacks in this game.
