Frequently asked questions

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of each candidate winning the Women's Ballon d'Or. As more shares are purchased for a particular candidate, the price of those shares increases, reflecting a higher implied probability. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price movement is driven by supply and demand, with traders acting on their own research and insights. The market's overall price reflects the collective wisdom of the crowd participating on Polymarket.

This market resolves around Nov 10, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The official winner of the Women's Ballon d'Or, as announced by France Football, will determine the resolution. Any potential disputes or ambiguities will be assessed based on widely accepted sources and the official rules of the award. The market will then settle, and shares will be redeemed based on whether the trader held shares in the winning candidate.

Several factors could significantly impact this market. Major tournament performances, such as the Olympics or Women’s World Cup, will heavily influence perceptions of coaching ability. Unexpected managerial changes at top clubs, or significant team successes under a particular coach, could also shift the odds. Injuries to key players, and how coaches navigate those challenges, will be closely watched. Finally, media coverage and expert analysis highlighting specific coaches' achievements or tactical innovations could all contribute to movement in this market before Nov 10, 2026.
