This group forecasts the winner of the Ballon d'Or Men's Goalkeeper of the Year award (Yashin Trophy) in 2026. The award recognizes the best goalkeeper in the world for the 2025-2026 season, with the ceremony typically held in October/November 2026.
This market will resolve to the player who wins the Men's Goalkeeper of the Year award (previously the Yashin Trophy) at the 2026 Ballon d'Or ceremony, scheduled to take place in London on October 26, 2026. If more than one player is named the winner of this award, this market will resolve to "Other". If no winner of this award is declared by November 9, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, for any reason, including the cancellation or postponement of the ceremony, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source for this market will be official information from France Football and/or UEFA, including the official Ballon d'Or announcement; a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
Each market corresponds to a specific footballer contending for the 2026 Men's Yashin Trophy, awarded for performances during the 2025-26 season. A market resolves to Yes only if the named player is announced as the sole winner of the award. Should multiple recipients be named without a dedicated tie market, each recipient's Yes contracts payout proportionally ($1 divided by the number of tied winners), while all other participant markets resolve to No. If the award is not given, all markets resolve to No. Kalshi disclaims any official affiliation with the governing football league, and all trademarks remain property of their respective owners.
Several factors could significantly impact this market. Strong performances by leading goalkeepers in major club and international competitions, such as the Champions League or the World Cup, will likely shift probabilities. Injuries to key contenders could also cause substantial price movements. Unexpected changes in team form or managerial decisions affecting a goalkeeper's playing time are other potential catalysts. Any news regarding the Ballon d'Or voting process or eligibility criteria could also influence trading activity in this market.
