This event tracks the total points scored by both teams during a specific quarter of a college football game. It allows participants to speculate on whether the combined scoring will exceed certain thresholds. The outcome depends solely on the official game results for that quarter.
All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams during the third quarter of the Ball St. vs Northwestern college football game scheduled for October 10, 2026. Each market has a different threshold for resolution, ranging from more than 2.5 points to more than 27.5 points. If the collective points exceed the specified threshold for a given market, it resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. For all markets, only points scored during the third quarter count. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the markets remain open and resolve based on the official result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, all markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi explicitly states it is not affiliated with the NCAA, and all trademarks remain property of their respective owners.
Often, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than those found at sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market relies on the collective wisdom of traders. If a significant number of traders believe the sportsbook’s line is inaccurate, the price here will diverge. It’s common to see discrepancies, particularly when public opinion strongly disagrees with the initial sportsbook assessment. Examining these differences can reveal insights into where the crowd believes value lies, compared to professional oddsmakers.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous auction, where traders buy and sell contracts representing their beliefs about the outcome. The price of a contract reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information emerges, the price adjusts dynamically. Traders are incentivized to provide accurate predictions, as profitable trades are rewarded. The current price indicates the market’s expectation for the total points scored in the 3rd quarter of the Ball St. vs Northwestern game.
This market resolves around Oct 10, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final total points scored in the 3rd quarter of the Ball St. vs Northwestern game will be used to determine the winning contracts. The resolution will be based on official game statistics, ensuring a transparent and accurate outcome. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings or adjust their strategies for future markets based on the verified result.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before resolution. Any news regarding key player injuries for either Ball St. or Northwestern would likely have a significant impact. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they affect the passing or running game, could also shift the market. Unexpected announcements about coaching strategies or team lineups could also cause price fluctuations. Furthermore, large volume trades from informed participants could signal a shift in market sentiment and move the price accordingly.
