It’s common to see discrepancies, especially as new information emerges or public sentiment changes. Comparing these odds can offer insights into where perceived value lies.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous double auction, meaning traders buy and sell contracts representing the probability of each outcome. The price of a contract reflects the market's collective assessment of that outcome's likelihood. As more traders participate, the prices converge towards what the market believes is the fair value. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market depth, or the number of buy and sell orders at different price levels, also indicates the strength of conviction behind each outcome. This dynamic pricing mechanism ensures the odds are constantly updated based on new information and trader activity.
