Two soccer teams compete in a match where only a outright win for either side after regular time determines the outcome. A tie results in a specific resolution, and any significant changes to the schedule lead to a fair adjustment.
The market resolves based on the result of the B36 Torshavn vs Skala professional Faroe Islands Premier League soccer game scheduled for Oct 18, 2026, after 90 minutes plus stoppage time, excluding extra time or penalties. If B36 Torshavn wins, the "B36 Torshavn" market resolves to Yes. If Skala wins, the "Skala" market resolves to Yes. If the game ends in a tie, the "Tie" market resolves to Yes. If the game is cancelled or rescheduled to over 48 hours away from the original date, all markets will resolve to a fair price in accordance with the rules.
Frequently, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market reflects the aggregated wisdom of crowd. If prediction market odds diverge significantly from sportsbook odds, it could indicate disagreement about the true probability of an outcome. It’s important to remember that both represent probabilities, but are derived through different mechanisms and may appeal to different types of bettors. Analyzing both can provide a more comprehensive view.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing potential outcomes. The price of a contract reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the prices adjust accordingly. Essentially, the market 'discovers' the probability through supply and demand. This dynamic pricing mechanism distinguishes it from fixed-odds betting found elsewhere.
This market resolves around Oct 18, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the B36 Torshavn vs Skala match, as reported by a recognized sports data provider. Traders holding contracts corresponding to the winning outcome will receive a payout, while those holding contracts on losing outcomes will not. The final outcome will be determined by the official match result.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before Oct 18, 2026. Any news regarding team injuries, changes in coaching staff, or even weather conditions could shift trader sentiment. Unexpected results in other matches involving these teams could also impact perceptions of their relative strength. Furthermore, significant betting activity – a large volume of trades in one direction – can itself move the market, as it signals a change in collective belief. Monitoring these signals can help you understand potential price movements.
