In the upcoming Eredivisie game between AZ and FC Groningen, scheduled for November 8, 2026 at 10:45 AM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the AZ vs. FC Groningen match originally scheduled for November 8, 2026 at 10:45 AM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Often, prediction market odds reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd effect, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and to balance action, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. If a significant number of informed bettors believe a sportsbook is mispricing a particular outcome, they can express that view in this market, driving the odds in a different direction. It's common to see discrepancies, especially before a lot of money has been wagered on either side.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing different exact scores. The price of each share reflects the implied probability of that score occurring. As more shares are traded, the price adjusts to reflect the collective belief of the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price movements are driven by supply and demand; if many traders believe a certain score is likely, they will buy shares, increasing the price, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing process aims to accurately forecast the final result.
This market resolves around Nov 8, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final score of the AZ vs. FC Groningen match will be used to determine the winning share(s). The resolution will be based on the official result as reported by a reputable sports data provider. Any disputes regarding the official score will be handled according to Polymarket’s standard procedures, ensuring a fair and transparent outcome for all traders participating in this market.
Several factors could influence the price of shares in this market. Late-breaking news about key player injuries or suspensions for either AZ or Groningen would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they are expected to heavily impact the style of play, could also shift sentiment. Even pre-match analysis from respected football commentators or unexpected lineup announcements could trigger trading activity and alter the implied probabilities. Any significant information impacting the perceived likelihood of different exact scores could move this market.
