If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can sometimes differ from those offered by traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set their lines based on their own models and need to account for profit margins, while this market is driven purely by traders’ beliefs about the likelihood of each outcome. If a significant discrepancy exists, arbitrage opportunities may arise, where traders can profit by betting on both the prediction market and a sportsbook. However, it’s important to remember that both represent probabilities as perceived by different groups.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each possible exact score. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that score occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy shares in a particular outcome, its price increases, reflecting growing confidence. Conversely, selling pressure lowers the price. The market efficiently aggregates information as traders react to news, team form, and other relevant factors, constantly updating the probabilities.
This market resolves around Oct 3, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final score of the Avaí FC vs. Ceará SC match is verifiable from credible public reporting. The exact score reported by official sources will determine the winning outcome in this market. Traders who correctly predicted the final score will be paid out according to the odds at the time of resolution. It’s important to monitor official sources as the match progresses to understand how the outcome will be determined.
Several factors could significantly influence this market before the match concludes. Any news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either Avaí FC or Ceará SC would likely cause shifts in the odds. Changes in team form, tactical adjustments, or even weather conditions could also impact trader sentiment. Unexpected events during the match itself, such as red cards or early goals, will cause rapid price movements as traders adjust their predictions based on the unfolding events. Monitoring these signals is crucial for informed trading in this market.
