On Polymarket, this market is priced using a continuous double auction, meaning traders can buy and sell shares representing their belief in each player being the top batter. The price of each share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome. As more traders buy shares in a particular player, the price increases, reflecting a higher perceived chance of success. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market depth—the number of shares available at different price points—also influences price discovery, providing insights into the strength of conviction behind each prediction. Trading volume is a key indicator of market interest and can signal potential shifts in sentiment.
This market resolves around Oct 16, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on which player scores the most runs across both innings of the unofficial ODI match between India A and Australia A. In the event of a tie, the market will resolve in favor of the player who reached the score first. The official match results will be used to determine the winning outcome, ensuring a transparent and verifiable resolution process for all traders participating in this market.
Several factors could influence trading activity and move this market before resolution. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in team lineups, or weather forecasts impacting playing conditions could significantly shift probabilities. Strong performances by a player in recent matches, or expert analysis highlighting a player’s favorable match-up against the opposing bowling attack, could also drive increased trading volume and price adjustments. Unexpected announcements related to pitch conditions or strategic decisions by team management could also cause fluctuations in the market as traders react to the new information.
