This market refers to the cricket match between India A and Australia A scheduled for October 11 2026 at 12:00 AM ET in Australia A Tour of India Unofficial ODIs. DLS/DRS, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the winner determined by that tiebreak will be used for resolution. If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions (e.g., group-stage ODI with no Super Over), the market will resolve 50-50. If the match is postponed/rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed. If the match is permanently canceled or abandoned or otherwise is completed without a winner, the market resolves 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

Prediction market odds often reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd perspective, potentially differing from sportsbook odds which can be influenced by factors like house bias or promotional offers. While sportsbooks set initial lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, this market allows anyone to participate and express their beliefs, leading to potentially more accurate predictions. Discrepancies between prediction market probabilities and sportsbook odds can present opportunities for arbitrage, where traders seek to profit from the difference in pricing. It’s common to see the market adjust as new information becomes available, potentially leading to convergence or divergence with sportsbook lines.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of different outcomes. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and express their views, the prices adjust to reflect the collective wisdom of the crowd. Higher demand for shares in a particular outcome will drive up its price, indicating increased confidence in that result. The market’s efficiency is driven by the incentive for traders to accurately predict the outcome and profit from correct assessments.
This market resolves around Oct 18, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official results of the India vs Australia A ODI series, determining which team emerges victorious. The specific outcome that triggers resolution will be determined by the series result, as reported by official sources. Traders will be able to claim their winnings based on the final outcome and their holdings in the corresponding shares. This ensures a transparent and objective resolution process for this market.
Several factors could influence the price action in this market. Unexpected player injuries or changes in team lineups for either India A or Australia A could significantly shift expectations. Weather conditions during the matches, particularly if they favor one team’s playing style, could also impact trading activity. Furthermore, any news regarding pitch conditions or strategic decisions made by team management could lead to adjustments in the market. Finally, early results in the series will undoubtedly have a substantial effect, as traders react to the unfolding events and reassess the probabilities of each outcome.
