Description

This market refers to the Dota 2 match between Aurora and 1win in the BLAST Slam Season 8 2026, initially scheduled for October 8, 2026 UTC. This market will resolve to "Aurora" if Aurora win the match against 1win. This market will resolve to "1win" if 1win win the match against Aurora. If the match is canceled (not played at all) or ends in a tie, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match is postponed, it must be rescheduled to a start time on or before October 22, 2026, 23:59 UTC (14 calendar days after the originally scheduled start of October 8, 2026 UTC). If, by that deadline, the most recently announced rescheduled start time is on or before the deadline, this market resolves based on the result of the match as played. Otherwise, this market resolves 50-50, regardless of whether the match is subsequently played. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, or the team is renamed or rebranded, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds often differ from those offered by sportsbooks, reflecting the wisdom of the crowd versus the assessments of professional oddsmakers. Sportsbooks may incorporate factors like public perception or promotional incentives into their lines, while this market is driven purely by individuals wagering their own capital. This can lead to discrepancies, especially when there's strong public sentiment or information asymmetry. Examining these differences can be valuable for identifying potential mispricings and informed betting opportunities, though it's important to remember that both represent probabilities, not guarantees.

On Limitless, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders can buy and sell contracts representing different outcomes of the Aurora vs 1win match. The price of each contract fluctuates based on supply and demand, reflecting the collective beliefs of the participants. On Limitless, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more people bet on a particular outcome, its price increases, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing mechanism aims to provide a real-time assessment of the probability of each outcome, driven by the incentives of those directly wagering on the event.

This market resolves around Oct 9, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Aurora vs 1win match, as reported by a recognized sports authority. The platform will verify the result against these sources to determine the winning outcome and distribute payouts accordingly. Traders should monitor official sources for updates as the resolution date approaches, ensuring they are aware of any potential delays or changes to the event schedule.

Several factors could influence the trading activity in this market leading up to Oct 9, 2026. Any news regarding team rosters, player injuries, or changes in coaching staff for either Aurora or 1win could significantly shift the odds. Unexpected results in other matches involving these teams, or broader shifts in public sentiment, could also play a role. Major announcements about the match itself, such as venue changes or altered game rules, would likely cause a reaction in the market. Monitoring these signals can help traders anticipate potential price movements and adjust their positions accordingly.
