This set of markets tracks how many touchdowns are caught by players from each team during a college football matchup. The outcomes depend on whether specific players achieve certain thresholds of receptions for touchdowns during the game, including any overtime periods.
All markets resolve based on the official number of receiving touchdowns scored by each team in the Auburn vs Tennessee college football game scheduled for October 3, 2026, including any overtime periods. A receiving touchdown is counted only when the player who catches the pass scores; if another player recovers a fumble and scores, it does not count as a receiving touchdown, though a player recovering their own fumble and scoring does count. Successful two-point conversions, regardless of when they occur, are excluded from all counts. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the markets remain open and resolve according to the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, the markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi is not affiliated with the NCAA, and all trademarks belong to their respective owners.
Generally, prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially before significant events or when public sentiment strongly favors one outcome. However, as the event approaches, the odds on Kalshi tend to converge with sportsbook lines, as more information becomes available and traders refine their predictions.
On Kalshi, this market is priced using a continuous double auction. Traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about whether a team will score a touchdown. The price of each contract fluctuates based on supply and demand; if more people want to buy, the price goes up, and vice versa. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This dynamic pricing mechanism allows the market to quickly incorporate new information and reflect the collective intelligence of the traders participating. The current price represents the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants.
This market resolves around Oct 4, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the resolution will be determined by which teams actually score touchdowns during the Auburn vs Tennessee football game. The final score and touchdown details will be verified against official game statistics and reporting from reputable sports news sources. The market will then settle based on whether the predicted outcome occurred during the game, as documented in these publicly available records.
Several factors could influence trading activity in this market. Injury reports for key players on either the Auburn or Tennessee teams would likely have a significant impact, as would any changes in weather forecasts that could affect the game's style. Major news stories or announcements related to team morale or coaching decisions could also shift trader sentiment. Finally, as the game day approaches, any late-breaking information or analysis from sports analysts could cause the market to react and prices to adjust accordingly.
