This set of markets tracks how many points Auburn and Ole Miss will score together in the third quarter of their college football game. Each market has a different threshold for the total points needed to settle the outcome.
All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams combined during the third quarter of the Auburn vs Ole Miss college football game scheduled for October 31, 2026. For any market, if the combined score exceeds the specified threshold (e.g., 2.5, 5.5, up to 27.5 points), it resolves to 'Yes'; otherwise, it resolves to 'No'. Only points scored during the third quarter count. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the markets remain open and resolve based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, all markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi is not affiliated with the NCAA, and all trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect a different set of information and incentives than those found at sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, while this market allows traders to directly assess the probability of an outcome. While sportsbooks may initially set lines based on statistical models and expert opinions, this market’s price is driven by the collective wisdom of traders who are incentivized to accurately predict the event. It is common to see differences emerge as new information becomes available and as different participants weigh factors differently.
This market resolves around Oct 31, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final score of the 3rd quarter between Auburn and Ole Miss will be used to determine whether the total points scored fall above or below the threshold defined by the contracts traded on Kalshi. The resolution will be based on official game statistics and will be publicly available following the conclusion of the game. Traders holding contracts on the correct side of the outcome will be paid out according to the contract’s value at resolution.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before it resolves. Any news regarding key player injuries for either Auburn or Ole Miss would likely have a significant impact, as this could alter expectations about scoring potential. Changes in weather conditions, such as heavy rain or strong winds, could also affect the game's dynamics and influence trading activity. Additionally, in-game performance during the first and second quarters could shift traders’ perceptions and lead to price adjustments. Finally, any late-breaking news or analysis regarding team strategies or matchups could also move this market.
