These markets track the total points scored by both teams in the second half of an upcoming college football game, including any overtime periods. Each market has a different threshold for the total points needed to resolve as 'Yes'.
All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams in the second half (including overtime) of the Auburn vs Ole Miss college football game scheduled for October 31, 2026. Each market has a specific threshold: if the combined second-half points exceed the threshold, the market resolves to 'Yes'; otherwise, it resolves to 'No'. For all markets, only points scored in the second half count. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the markets remain open and resolve based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, all markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi is not affiliated with the NCAA, and all trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market allows traders to express their own beliefs about the likely outcome. If a significant discrepancy exists, it might indicate that the market perceives information differently than sportsbooks, or that there's a strong bias among traders. It's common to see the market adjust as new information becomes available, potentially converging with or diverging from sportsbook lines.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts. The price of a contract represents the probability of the event occurring. For example, a contract priced at 60 means it costs 60 dollars to buy a contract that pays out 100 dollars if the total points in the second half go over the specified number. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market dynamically adjusts based on supply and demand, reflecting the collective predictions of all participants. Traders are incentivized to provide accurate predictions, as profitable trades are rewarded.
This market resolves around Oct 31, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final score of the second half of the Auburn versus Ole Miss game will be used to determine whether the total points scored exceeded or fell short of the specified number. The resolution will be based on official game statistics, ensuring an objective and verifiable result. Traders holding contracts on the winning side will receive a payout of 100 dollars per contract, while those on the losing side will forfeit their investment.
Several factors could influence the price of this market. Any news regarding injuries to key players on either the Auburn or Ole Miss teams could significantly shift expectations. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they are expected to impact scoring, could also play a role. Game-day developments, such as early scoring drives or defensive adjustments, will likely cause fluctuations in the market price. Public sentiment and analysis from sports commentators could also contribute to shifts in trading activity, influencing the overall direction of the market.
